Left Coast Chronicles is a political blog with the intention of sparking thoughtful conversation with regards to the current state of affairs in America. Often political views are intimately intertwined with other personal experiences, views, and beliefs. Each of those is legitimate in what can often become a heated debate. After all, the crux of a political opinion usually has philosophical grounds.

About our name

Left Coast Chronicles has a left-leaning bias, as the name suggests. This means that LCC should be a source for progressive thinkers to strengthen their views and get alternative opinions. Moreover, we provide a place for conservative thinkers to see what the other end of the political spectrum has to say and voice their own opinions. Eventually, we may seek conservatively-minded writers to share their opinion.

"Left coast" is a play on that ideological standpoint and a physical direction on the US geographic map. As you may have guessed, the founder of this blog hails from the west coast.
